Egad, it's been more than a month since I updated this blog. Sorry about that. Things kind of got out of had at the end of the semester. The war in Iraq even ended, leaving the horrible wreckage of a 10,000 year-old civilization humiliated and torn to bits.
One inspirational light at the end of the tunnel was the broadcast on CBC Newsworld of
Chavez: Inside the Coup, perhaps one of the most stunning documentary pieces ever made. The Irish filmmakers were on hand making a film about the Bolivarian Revolution of Hugo Chavez, when BAMM, the coup happened. In an amazing turn around, unlike so many depressing and maddening events of Humanity's sorrowful history, the coup was successfully overturned by the people of Venezuela. Simply amazing as the footage bears it out. I was able to have friends tape it and I have thus far made multiple copies.
